Urso Capoeira Escola Utah

Since 1998, the Utah Capoeira Escola (UCE) has been establishing itself as a valuable cultural resource hosting several events related to Brazilian culture and capoeira, such as film screenings, art exhibitions, monthly open rodas and performances.

The UCE is also active within its community. Professor Marco Greis, a.k.a. Urso, and the UCE often perform public performances and participate in non- for-profit youth programs offering free capoeira classes for children in low-income communities.

All of this is made possible due to generous contributions from our individual and corporate sponsors. Their contributions are a key source of funding for our batizados (capoeira event with rank advancement for students) and other cultural activities. Thanks to our sponsors, UCE teachers & students can continue to focus their energy on making memorable events for students, families, audiences and communities.

INDIVIDUAL SPONSORSHIP
We welcome individual donations at all levels to help support our batizados and to continue to provide public access to Brazilian arts. During the year we organize several fund raising events to this aim. If you cannot participate but would like to contribute or to show additional support, you can do so here.
